The cause of this issue is pretty simple: outdated game files

To fix this, you can either have the launcher update the game for you again (Fix A), or manually download and update the game files (Fix B)

Fix A:

1. Type Notepad in Windows Search Bar, right click select Run as Administrator

2. File -> Open, then browse to your game installation folder, open config.ini file

You can check your installation folder through the launcher. Go to Settings > Find Game Files. The file path listed there will be your game installation folder

3. Then replace the contents of the file with the following:

config.ini

[General]
channel=1
cps=mihoyo
game_version=5.3.0
sub_channel=0

4. File -> Save, then relaunch the launcher and click on Update to reinitiate the Update
